Cross cultural communication

Lewis Horizon

Training in cross-cultural communication (Wikipedia) focuses on how people from differing cultural backgrounds communicate, in similar and different ways among themselves, and how they adjust to improve communication.

Practice also embraces intercultural communication (Wikipedia): knowing how to communicate in different parts of the world. Intercultural communication uses theories within groups of people to achieve a sense of cultural diversity. This is in the hopes of people being able to learn new things from different cultures. The theories used give people an enhanced perspective on when it is appropriate to act in situations without disrespecting the people within these cultures.
